Designer Yuya Kawakami spent most of his twenties in San Francisco, and launched SEVEN BY SEVEN (nickname for San Francisco) in 1998 after returning to Japan.
The loose-fitting style is the San Francisco spirit, and the toughness of the workwear is the rugged beauty. He reconstructs old clothes from disassembly and expresses the design with the personality of the people he met in San Francisco.
